Nazir Ahmed’s entrepreneurial journey did not begin in a technology lab or business school classroom. It began in a Government Urdu School classroom—and was nearly halted by a life-threatening medical crisis.

During his academic years, Ahmed went into a coma for three days and spent almost three months hospitalized. The episode was transformative.

“That phase changed my perspective completely,” he reflects. “When you return from something like that, you value time differently.”

Despite the interruption, he resumed his studies and later completed his graduation in Environmental Science. With no formal IT training and coming from a non-technical background, his path into technology entrepreneurship was far from conventional.

What he lacked in credentials, he made up for in curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering desire to build something meaningful.

An Idea Ahead Of Its Time

Ahmed launched his entrepreneurial journey during the Dotcom Boom, founding Nexusinfo on May 13, 2003.

His first startup, Indiancelebrations.com, was inspired by a personal struggle. While preparing for his sister’s wedding, he watched his father and elder brother spend exhausting days searching for marriage halls and related services.

“I thought, why not create a single platform where people can discover and book everything in one place?”

The idea was visionary—but premature.

Internet penetration in India was still minimal. Even in major cities like Bangalore, connectivity was limited to select pockets. After nearly two years of limited revenue and an unfortunate accident, Ahmed was forced to shut down the venture.

It was a hard lesson in timing, infrastructure readiness, and ecosystem maturity.

Identifying Real-World Inefficiencies

Rather than retreat from entrepreneurship, Ahmed immersed himself in working with businesses across multiple sectors. Over time, a pattern became clear: operational inefficiencies were widespread, particularly in the education sector.

Manual processes, fragmented systems, and lack of real-time data were slowing down institutions.

That realization led to his next venture—an affordable, scalable EdTech SaaS platform designed to solve real-time institutional challenges.

She joined as Co-Founder and CTO, providing the technical leadership and stability the company needed.

“That strengthened our foundation significantly,” he says.
