Kuwaiti startup theQA has raised more than $550,000 in pre-seed funding as it looks to make consumer research more accessible to businesses seeking a clearer understanding of their customers.
Founded in 2025 by Ahmad Al Ebrahim and Hussain Ali AlNashaba, the company operates an AI-powered market research platform that helps businesses, agencies and researchers design surveys, connect with relevant audiences and gather consumer feedback.
The funding comes from a Kuwaiti family office and strategic angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to expand its operations in Kuwait, improve its research technology and develop new capabilities for analysing consumer data.
Building a Faster Route to Consumer Insights
Understanding consumer preferences is essential for businesses launching products, evaluating brands or making marketing decisions. However, collecting reliable feedback and translating it into useful insights can require considerable time and resources.
theQA aims to simplify this process through a digital platform that brings survey creation, audience targeting and feedback collection together.
Its AI-assisted survey builder helps users turn research briefs into questionnaires, supporting studies into areas such as brand perception, consumer preferences and reactions to new product concepts. Businesses can use the platform to gather responses from targeted audiences in Kuwait and use the findings to inform commercial decisions.
Rather than relying entirely on manual research workflows, the platform incorporates AI into parts of the process, with the goal of reducing the effort involved in preparing and conducting studies.
A Growing Network of Verified Participants
Since launching in April 2025, theQA has built a panel of more than 20,000 verified participants. This network gives businesses access to a growing pool of respondents for consumer research.
The company has also reported consistent revenue growth throughout 2026, with revenue nearly doubling since January. These early indicators suggest growing commercial activity as the startup develops its presence in Kuwait.
For a consumer research platform, building both a base of business customers and a sufficiently broad participant network is important. Businesses need access to relevant respondents, while participants help make it possible to conduct studies across different consumer groups.
theQA’s next phase will focus on strengthening this foundation and improving the tools available to customers.
Founders Focus on Making Research More Accessible
Ahmad Al Ebrahim, co-founder and CEO, said the company was established to make it easier for businesses to understand the people they serve. He believes simplifying the research process can help more organisations access consumer insights without the traditional burden of time, effort and resources.
Co-founder and CTO Hussain Ali AlNashaba is focused on developing the platform’s technology. The company plans to expand its AI-powered tools and improve how users move from designing surveys to understanding the results.
The new investment will support these efforts, including enhancements to data analysis and consumer insight capabilities.
Kuwait Remains the Immediate Priority
Although AI is increasingly being applied to market research, theQA’s immediate focus is on expanding its operations within Kuwait. The funding will help the company improve its product and serve more businesses looking to make decisions based on consumer feedback.
Its progress will depend on how effectively it converts its growing participant network into useful research outcomes for paying customers. Maintaining data quality, reaching relevant audiences and producing actionable insights will be central to building trust in the platform.
With more than $550,000 in pre-seed funding and early signs of revenue growth, theQA is positioning itself to serve Kuwait’s demand for accessible, technology-enabled consumer research. Its longer-term opportunity will lie in making reliable consumer insights easier for businesses to obtain and use.
