Saudi Arabia-based game development studio Majestic Mind Games has raised $1.45 million in a funding round co-led by Merak Capital and Impact46, as the Jeddah-based startup looks to accelerate the development of original video games for international audiences.
Founded in 2023 by Lujain Albukhari and Majed Anbar, Majestic Mind Games develops original titles primarily for PC, with selected games also expanding to console and mobile platforms. The studio has also received backing from NEOM, adding to the growing network of support behind Saudi Arabia’s emerging gaming industry.
Building Games From Saudi Arabia for the World
Majestic Mind Games is focused on creating original intellectual property rather than simply developing games for a local audience. Its titles are designed around entertainment while also encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking, reflecting the founders’ ambition to create experiences that can resonate with players beyond the Kingdom.
The studio’s core team includes Lead Artist Samaher Bantan and Game Programmer Mohammed Baeshen, alongside founders Lujain Albukhari and Majed Anbar. Together, the team is developing a portfolio intended to compete in international gaming markets while contributing to the growth of Saudi-made creative IP.
The new funding will primarily support the development of new original titles, giving the studio additional resources to expand its portfolio and strengthen its ability to take Saudi-developed games to global audiences.
A New Chapter for Saudi Gaming
The investment comes as Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem enters an increasingly ambitious phase. Beyond attracting major international gaming companies and investments, the Kingdom is seeking to develop homegrown studios capable of creating original intellectual property that can compete internationally.
For Majestic Mind Games, that creates an opportunity to participate in a much larger transformation. The studio is part of a growing generation of Saudi game developers attempting to demonstrate that world-class gaming IP can be conceived, developed, and scaled from within the Kingdom.
Merak Capital said its investment reflects confidence in the team’s combination of originality, commercial discipline, and long-term execution capabilities. Impact46 is joining Merak in backing the studio as it moves from developing individual titles toward building a broader portfolio of globally marketable games.
With $1.45 million in fresh capital, Majestic Mind Games now enters its next stage with a clear ambition: to build original games from Jeddah that can travel far beyond Saudi Arabia—and help establish the Kingdom as a source of globally competitive gaming IP.
