Egyptian construction technology startup Kuadra has secured a funding round led by Edafa Venture Capital to accelerate the launch of what it describes as Egypt’s first unified AI-powered platform for managing the entire construction project lifecycle. The investment will support product development, commercial expansion, and the company’s ambition to modernize one of the country’s largest industries through artificial intelligence.
Founded in 2025 by Ahmed Salem, Kuadra develops AI-powered workflow automation solutions that simplify complex construction processes. Its platform enables contractors to analyze tender documents, extract technical specifications, automate procurement workflows, allocate work packages to suppliers and subcontractors, and evaluate bids through a single integrated system. By reducing tender review from days or even weeks to just a few hours, the platform helps construction firms improve efficiency, minimize human error, and accelerate project execution.
Bringing AI to One of Egypt’s Largest Industries
Construction remains one of Egypt’s biggest contributors to GDP, yet much of the industry continues to rely on manual processes despite handling enormous volumes of technical documentation. Kuadra believes this creates a significant opportunity for artificial intelligence. Rather than replacing engineers, the company is embedding engineering expertise into AI-powered workflows that allow professionals to focus on higher-value decision-making while repetitive and document-intensive tasks are automated.
The funding follows Edafa Venture Capital’s acquisition of Kuadra in a six-figure transaction earlier this year, reflecting growing investor confidence in AI-driven enterprise software across the Middle East.
Accelerating Digital Transformation
With the new investment, Kuadra plans to strengthen partnerships with major construction companies while expanding its AI capabilities into adjacent industries, including oil and gas. As infrastructure investment continues to grow across the region, the company aims to position itself as a technology partner for organizations seeking to digitize procurement, project management, and engineering operations.
For Egypt’s growing startup ecosystem, Kuadra represents another example of entrepreneurs applying artificial intelligence to transform traditional industries. By combining deep industry knowledge with automation, the company is helping demonstrate how AI can improve productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate digital transformation across sectors that have historically been slow to embrace new technologies.
